AutoPilot4Feed has a very simple to use outloading system which may be operated by a site loader or truck driver. A fully automated system ensures accurate loads and prevents mistakes. All transactions are recorded for future analysis.

The system has a equivalent (shadow / badged) products facility which is useful when one product runs out or it is more efficient to use a higher specification product. Official weight tickets are printed for the driver and an additonal label may be printed for a sample bag.

There are many options to allow the outloading module to be configured to a site requirements e.g. weighbridge or scale above truck type systems can be configured. A simplified outloading option, BOL Minder,  is available that simply checks the loader or driver is opening the correct slide. This provides an economical solution to prevent the wrong bin being selected.

A typical outloading sequence would be:

Truck Log-In

A collection truck arrives at the main gate and is logged on site with registration and haulier (optional) details. The first weight may be captured from a weight indicator e.g. Avery, Shering, Precia Molen, Lucid or Weightron type. This stage is optional and this data can be entered at a later stage.

Order Allocation

At the dispatch office (or similar) a truck is allocated orders for collection. When integrated with a commercial system this can be a case of just selecting an order number or a order line. The rest of the details (Customer, Product, Weight etc.) can then be automatically populated thus saving time and preventing mistakes.A sample screen is shown below.

Outloading Bay

Each bay has a PC in an enclosure for the driver to operate the outloading. Alternatively, a PC may be positioned in a outloading control room as shown below.

When a truck is on the outloading bay the bulk outloading PC will require a truck registration to be entered. The driver then selects which compartment to fill and the system will take the first weight and start to automatically deliver the required quantity of product using weighing algorithms including in-flight calculations. During weighing, the driver can hold and release the route by pressing F11 and F12 respectively. Once cleanout is complete, the system will wait for the second weight to be checked. When checked, if the second weight is found to be within tolerance of the required weight, (or it is overweight), an official second weight is automatically taken and a ticket printed. If, when the second weight is checked, it is found to be underweight the driver may accept this, fill from another bin, fill from another bay or jog to the correct weight.

A large LED display may be installed to inform the driver of the status of the load.

Truck log-out

The truck may be weighed again at the main gate on it's way out. This can check the truck is in tolerance of it's first weight and collected loads. An overall delivery ticket may be printed.

Bulk outloading minder

AutoPilot4Feedhas a very user-friendly and economical method of monitoring bulk outloading operations. It is fully integrated with the rest of the mill control, ensuring a foolproof and efficient operation. The equipment is simple; each outloading bay has a small driver-operated terminal. The dust proof terminal has a four line back-lit display and industrial keypad.

Operation is straightforward yet almost foolproof. When an outloading bay is free, the driver can position the truck underneath the required bin.  The driver operator terminal nearby displays "Welcome, Press Enter". The driver presses ENTER and will then be asked to enter a bin number.

On acceptance of a valid bin number the driver will be asked to enter the product code. The system will check that the product code is valid and matches the bin number previously entered. If the checks are OK the system will begin monitoring and may optionally start the discharge from the bin automatically or enable this.

The system will alarm (sound a horn) if any other bin slide is detected open. In applications where the discharge is controlled / enabled this will be stopped automatically. Any time during the operation the driver may press the bin swap key to enter another bin.
